Will you be able to achieve 3 Highers by the end of S6? (Highers CAN include the LEAPS Transitions Course and full 12 credit Level 6 Foundation Apprenticeships but CANNOT include Level 6 NPAs, Level 6 College courses or OU YASS courses)

I attend a LEAPS Group 1+ or Group 1 school (Alloa, Bannockburn, Castlebrae, Craigroyston, Drummond, Eyemouth, Forrester, Gracemount, Hawick, Liberton, Lornshill, Newbattle, Preston Lodge, Ross, Tynecastle, Wester Hailes)
Student who is first generation in family to apply to higher education (this includes students whose parents do not already have a degree and students whose parents may have briefly participated in higher education but did not achieve a degree.)
Student from a low income background (for instance where a student is entitled to EMA, free meals in school, or where the family is entitled to a benefit such as Universal Credit)
Young carer (Anyone who provides unpaid care, for a friend, partner or family member, who due to illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.)
Care experienced (any student who has been, or is currently, in care.)
Are you estranged from both your parents? (a young person who currently has little or no contact with either of their parents and/or their legal guardian)
Student who lives in one of Scotland's 20% most disadvantaged communities as defined by the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD20). Please check your postcode on the next page.

and your school careers adviser (LINK). Additionally, universities and colleges have enquiry teams
who you can email for answers to any of your questions. They will be happy to help you. You
should also visit your local Higher Education Convention, usually in the Autumn term, where you can
meet representatives of different universities and colleges find out lots of information:
